BroadCaster Composer PRO-XL is a highly precise virtual rack audio processor designed to make your broadcast audio sound professional, leveled, powerful and perfectly equalized.

It can be used as a standalone Windows application or as a VST3 plugin inside your playout, broadcasting or production software (DAW).

It is ideal for Internet radio, FM broadcasting, streaming, studio production, voiceover and professional music playout.

BroadCaster Composer PRO-XL combines several essential audio processors into one clear and efficient processing chain:

Input AGC → 10-Band EQ → Multiband Compressor → Peak Limiter

The result is more consistent volume, controlled dynamics, an optimized frequency response and a powerful broadcast sound.

Input AGC – Automatic Gain Control

The built-in Automatic Gain Control (AGC) helps maintain a consistent input level even when the volume of individual audio sources varies.

The following parameters can be adjusted:

• Target Level (dB) – desired average output level

• Speed (ms) – response speed to changes in volume

AGC is particularly useful for Internet radio broadcasting, where it helps smoothly balance differences between quieter and louder tracks.

10-Band Graphic Equalizer

Shape the character of your broadcast sound using the integrated 10-band graphic equalizer.

The equalizer operates across the range:

31 Hz – 16 kHz

Each band provides:

±15 dB of adjustment

This allows you to precisely shape bass, midrange and high frequencies and adapt the sound to your particular broadcasting style.

For example, low frequencies can be slightly boosted for a fuller bass response, while higher frequencies can be enhanced to provide greater clarity and presence for vocals.

Multiband Compressor

The integrated Multiband Compressor reduces the dynamic range and helps create a denser, more consistent and more powerful sound.

The available parameters include:

• Threshold (dB) – level at which compression begins

• Ratio – compression ratio

• Attack (ms) – compressor response time

• Release (ms) – compressor recovery time

This allows the processing to be adapted for both music broadcasting and spoken-word content.

Peak Limiter

At the end of the entire processing chain is the Peak Limiter.

Its purpose is to prevent the digital signal from exceeding the maximum level of 0 dBFS, helping protect the output from digital clipping.

For a modern, powerful and punchy broadcast sound, you can use more aggressive compression together with a so-called "smile" EQ curve, enhancing the low and high frequencies.

Speech / Voiceover

For clear and intelligible speech, unwanted low-frequency rumble can be reduced while the 1–4 kHz presence range can be slightly enhanced.

Moderate compression helps keep the voice upfront without making it sound unnecessarily artificial.
